Walkers on the Cordel de Rotas walk, led by local councillor and Head of the local Department of the Environment, Ricardo Garcia, discovered the flora and the fauna as well as numerous ruins of old houses en route.
The walk took in corn fields and almond groves, irrigated by the rivers Argos and Quipar, and various ruins of old houses which still resist the passing of the years, including the “Coloured Houses” ( casas coloras), and “the Panes Hamlet” ( el cortijo de los Panes).
Experts were on hand to identify local plants, flowers and life in the stream.
