A group of 30 young vets have spent the weekend in Calasparra to give an information talk on the project: LIFE+Ripisilvanatura, which aims to protect the river and its wildlife.
On Saturday morning they gave the information talk in the Casa de la Cultura on the ambiental regeneration of the river Segura.
In the afternoon they took part in a workshop to cut back exotic and invasory species on the river banks, including canes.
On Sunday the group visited the protected area of the Almadenes Canyon, at the Mulata Dam, to ring birds.
