Over 200 people have died, there is an endless list of missing people, and many homes have been destroyed. Many of these dwellings were also a home to pets.
The Protectoras de Animales de Valencia (Animal Protection of Valencia) has launched an appeal for funds to pay for food and blankets for animals who are victims of this tragedy. Unfortunately, due to difficulties with access and transport (as access to the disaster area has been restricted to facilitate emergency vehicles etc) only cash donations can be accepted.
There is an account number on the appeal poster with this article and the money collected will be transferred immediately to Animal Protection of Valencia.
