Two young Calasparrians rescued a young fawn trapped under a cattle grid and reunite it with his mother.
The dramatic rescue took place last night when the two young men were travelling home in their car and braked to pass over a cattle grid. As they crossed the grid they heard the bleating of an animal. When they got out of the vehicle to investigate to their surprise they discovered a small fawn trapped under the cattle grid.
After making various attempts to find a way to rescue the animal they discovered they were able to remove one of the bars of the cattle grid. Without hestitation one of the youths climbed under the grid and pulled the terrified animal to safety.
The fawn´s mother was calling it from the other side of the cattle grid and so they lifted the tiny animal and released it on the other side of the fence
to join her.
Thanks to the rapid action of these two young men this little fawn was saved from a certain death.
