Ibredrola will install two recharging stations for electric cars in Calasparra in the next few months as part of an agreement with Calasparra Town Hall.
Under another part of the agreement with the electricity company, Ibredrola, agrees to construct an underground low tension electricity cable and dismantle 450 metres of elecricity cables on the facades of buildings in central Calasparra.
The tangles of cables in the Gran Via, Calle Lavadero, Hospicio, Cabeza and German Galindo will disappear once the project is completed.
Under the agreement Ibredrola agrees to construct more underground cables in Calasparra to replace outside wiring in other areas of the town.
The more than one million euro project also includes the improvement of the medium tension electricity network over the next few years and reforming installations, including cables, to protect birds; the automation of the municipal electricity network; and the renewal of the low tension electricity network.
