Today is Mothers’ Day in Spain and in Calasparra is also the Pilgrimage of the statue of Our Lady of Hope, which will be brought to Calasparra for her spring visit.
Today is also International Workers’ Day but because it falls on a Sunday tomorrow will be a national holiday.
Expect shops and services to be closed but bars and restaurants will be open.
