This Friday is May Day or International Workers´ Day and, in Spain, it is a national holiday so expect the market to be held on Thursday this week and the shops to be closed on Friday.
Secondly, the Municipal Elections are on May 24, not on May 7 as previously reported in nexonr. All European citizens are entitled to vote. If you are unsure whether you are registered go to the office at the top of the stairs, next to the Technical Office in the Town Hall, where there is a member of staff who can check for you and tell you which voting station to go to.
