As is traditional every May 1, the statue of Our Lady of Hope was carried in a pilgrimage from the Sanctuary to spend the month in St Peterś Church in Calasparra.
The pilgrimage was accompanied by music and local folklore from the Rondalla and the Rociero Choir.
Hundreds of people, on foot and horseback,took part in the pilgrimage, from the Sanctuary to Calasparra, through streets adorned with rosemary and petals thrown from balconies.
