The Town Hall has agreed to try and solve the problem of garden waste on the Tierra del Sol after Nexonr received complaints from some residents about palm tree cuttings being left on the ground near rubbish containers on the urbanisation.
According to a spokesperson for the Town Hall the residents on the Tierra del Sol pay for garden waste to be collected as part of their payment for refuse disposal services. In the past a skip was provided for the disposal of garden waste, however, unfortunately this skip was also used by non residents of the urbanisation to dump household rubbish such as furniture etc and so it was removed.
After Nexonr brought the problem to the attention of the Director of Refuse Services at the Town Hall he agreed that the matter must be resolved.
Nexonr understands the Town Hall are now considering providing a skip in a fenced off area to which only residents would have access.
