TOWN HALL PROVIDE REUSABLE MASKS FOR SCHOOLS

The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, and the Head of the local Department of Education, Cristina Ruiz, personally delivered reusable masks to all the schools in Calasparra yesterday.
Yesterday they delivered 1,700 reusable masks to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in local schools: one for each pupil, teacher and member of staff.
The masks are made of cotton layers and an internal layer of polypropylene, which creates a bacterial barrier but permits the passage of air. The masks will last for 25 washes.
According to the World Health Organization the correct use of masks is one of the most effective measures of limiting the spread of respiratory contagions, such as the coronavirus, when combined with regular hand washing and social distancing.
