The devastating events this week in Spain, involving the murder of two small children by an estranged husband and the murder of a 17 year old girl by her ex-boyfriend, have provoked a wave of emotions and protests.
Today Calasparra Town Hall joined a silent demonstration called by the Federation of Municipal Areas.
“We join together to condemn these male chauvinist murders that are taking place in our country,” said an official statement.
The demonstration took place at midday today, outside the Town Hall, under the slogan: “Enough already!! We act together, without resting, against male chauvinist violence.”
