The local police have issued a warning that from today, Thursday June 24, Calasparra town centre will be closed to traffic during the summer nights.
Traditionally traffic is banned from the centre during the summer evenings to allow residents to use the bars/restaurant terraces in peace or enjoy a quiet stroll around the town.
The traffic ban starts today and ends on September 8.
During the week the traffic ban starts at 9.30pm and at weekends at 9pm.
