The plans for the new Calasparra Town Hall are currently on display in the Casa de la Cultura (same building as the Public Library).
The «HIGUER» design was selected by an expert jury in a tendering exercise held by the local authority.
The new Town Hall will be on the site of the “Casa de los Maestros” (Professor´s Houses), alongside the public parking and opposite the Stationary Shop (Libreria) in Gran Via.
CARM allocated 700,000 euros for a new Town Hall in 2006 after the indoor market collapsed but the project was delayed and now the local authority are obliged to complete the project or return the funds.
