This year alone 170 students have attended courses or workshops at the adult education centre in Calle Mayor, the Universidad Popular.
The centre, which c elebrated the end of the spring term last week, fulfills an important role socially as well as providing training for work, said the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro at the exhibition of handicrafts and paintings by students in the Sala del Commendador.
In this, its 30th year, the centre continues to innovate and offer new and original courses such as sign language and radio workshops in addition to core subjects and work related training.
