So says the new Head of the Sports Department, Jordi Ace, following the resounding success of
the Open Sports Day this weekend on the streets of Calasparra.
The young and the not so young were able to try their hands at basketball, athletics, tennis, rythmic gym, aerobics, five a side football and football in demonstration careas dotted around the centre of the town.
According to the Sport Department the demos did not stop all morning, giving demonstrations and taking subscriptions for the new courses.
“There are no excuses for not getting fit,” said Jordi Ace, “we want to encourage everyone to come and join the grand sports family of Calasparra: there are sports for all ages and tastes with hours that suit and we are open to suggestions.”
The new courses start from October 1 and you can get more information at the Municipal Sports Pavillion.
