If you don´t fancy a long, hard climb for the concert on Saturday night don´t worry!! The local Town Hall has organised two vehicles to transport people from the town up to the Castle open air theatre for the concert of antique music.
The two vehicles will leave from Plaza Emilio Pérez Piñero at 9.30pm and from the Saints Church at 8.30pm.
The concert, on Saturday July 16, starts at 9.30pm and features the group, La Danserye, specialists in music of “ministreles” and medieval music.
The music and dance will travel back to the 16th century and the beginnings of the 17th century with selections from the Terpsichore Musarum de Michael Praetorius (1571-1662), a collection of more than 300 French dances and melodies. The dancer, Eva Narejos, will perform at the concert.
The Festival of Antique Music is organised by the Town Hall of Calasparra and the Association Cultural Odecathon, and is sponsored by the Fundación Cajamurcia, the Town Hall and the company, VMAIN, with the collaboration of the Brotherhood of the local patron saints.
