Prices at the pumps are continuing to yo yo this week as they fall by 0.3% on petrol and 1.6% on diesel according to the EU Petrol Bulletin.
The reduction brings the average price of a litre of petrol to 1.397 euros from 1.4 euros and diesel to 1.453 euros from 1.472 euros.
Petrol now costs 2.5% more than at the beginning of the year but 1.2% less than last week. The price of diesel has fallen by 0.5% since last week and costs 1.3% less than the maximum price this summer.
