A new biomass boiler will provide clean, cheap energy for the new heating system at the Pedreras Primary School, the Head of the Education Department has announced.
Maria Dolores Gomariz says the new system is similar to the system recently installed in the local OAPs residence.
The project forms part of the Interregional Programme of Biomass Cooperation in rural areas financed by the Leader Fund.
Local sources say the installation is “imminent” and that the primary school will be the first education centre in the region to count on this new technology for heating this winter.
