The
Full Town Hall Council Meeting on thIs Thursday will be a bittersweet affair as
the Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, is expected to tender his resignation.
The good news for the Mayor and for Calasparra is that Jose Velez has been
nominated by the President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, to be the new Government
Delegate in Murcia.
He will be sadly missed but we know he will always have the interests of the
town and the community he was represented for the past five years in his heart.
The meeting is open to the public, will be in the Sala de Actos and begins at
8.30pm.
