If you thought this wonderful sunny weather was too good to last your were right: time to get out your winter woolies!!
After enjoying the hottest December for the last 61 years, with temperatures in the mid 20´s, the New Year has a sting in its tail.
According to the Met Office from tomorrow, Wednesday, temperatures in the region will drop sharply, in some cases by as much and seven to 12 degrees centigrade.
The decrease in temperatures is due to a “mass of polar air,” according to the Met Office, and is likely to last for the rest of this week.
