The Met office predicts that temperatures will dip to freezing or below freezing mid week although the cold snap will be short lived.
Calasparra is currently experiencing a drop of between 10 and 156 degrees compared to last week when the town was basking in a warm 20 to 21 degrees. But the current maximums of seven to nine degrees and minimums of five are well within the seasonal average.
Minimums on Wednesday and Thursday are likely to hover around freezing and showers, of rain or snow, are likely.
Although temperatures will recover at the weeknd to between 10 and 12 degrees and minimums of five it is expected to be a wet weekend with snow predicted on high ground.
