According to the local pressure group, «Calasparra No se Toca», that has led protests against the Tara Recycling Plant for alleged «spills and noxious smells,» the Guardia Civil has sealed off the the perimeter of the plant.
Last week Calasparra Town Hall referred complaints from neighbours and farmers near the plant to the Regional Public Prosecutor for the Environmment.
Neither the Town Hall,the plant nor the Guardia Civil has confirmed this report.
