The Head of the Youth Department, Antonio José Merino Moreno, has presented a cheque for 515 euros, raised by the Summer School Party, to Dogs Rescue Calasparra.
Ana Guirao, President of Dogs Rescue and the Treasurer, Rosa Soto, said the funds would be used to vaccinate stray animals in their care.
Ana Guirao also commented that there were many ways volunteers could help the animals in their care, from walking the dogs to adoption or making financial contributions of as little as one euro monthly.
