The President of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, giving a press conference today, Saturday, announced that ground had been gained against Covid-19 but the virus still existed.
Although the State of Alarm was slowly being relaxed Spain was still in a state of medical emergency. For this reason everyone must behave with prudence and responsibility.
He defended the State of Alarm which had benefitted all citizens. The priority had always been and would always be health, he said.

The introduction of a “Minimum Life” (equivalent to income support) for those who fall through the net.
The green light for professional league football from June 8 with maximum safety measures for all taking part.
A period of mourning, to be announced next week, for all the victims of the epidemic.
