As the central government introduces charges for non urgent ambulances, wheelchairs, crutches and dietary products the Murcian Health Service has proposed that cancer patients and those on dialysis are excluded from the regime.
According to a spokesperson for the Health Service practically all the autonomous governments in Spain agree that these patients should be excluding from charging.
Other patients using an ambulance for treatments or tests etc will be charged 5 euros per journey.
