Seventy residents from 17 houses have been evacuated in Los Porriones, Mula, as the UME (National Defence Unit) has been called in to support fire fighters.
The alarm for a forest fires in the Los Porriones area of Mula was raised at 6pm on Saturday.
Eight fire engines, three helicopters, a forestry plane for coordination, three forestry brigade Heli carriers, 12 firemen and six fire engines from Murcia, a helicopter from Castilla la Mancha and 14 environmental officers have been fighting the fire.
At 3am this morning, Sunday, 50 officers from UME arrived at the scene. Relief helicopters, Heli carriers, and fire fighters were also called in and at 10am four firefighting aircraft were brought in from Castilla la Mancha.
According to the information at our disposal the fire continues to be out of control.
