Over the past seven days 17 active cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the over 60´s and vulnerable persons group in Calasparra.
Meanwhile, in the Murcia region there has been a 48% increase in new cases in residential homes for the elderly and disabled during the last two weeks. This week along more than 300 new cases have been diagnosed and an “active outbreak” has been reported in 37 homes in the region.
For the third day running more than 1000 new cases have been diagnosed in the past 24 hours, as 1,106 cases are diagnosed.
There have been nine additional Covid admissions to regional hospitals. The number of in patients now stands at 265, of which seven are in intensive care.
Sadly, there has been one death due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
