The emergency services put out a second forest fire in the El Bayo area of Calasparra at midday today, Thursday, and declared that the cause was probably arson.
This is the second such fire in this area of hill slopes in a month.
The emergency services were called by residents who attempted to extinguish the flames to no avail. However, within an hour, firemen from Calasparra and Caravaca had put the fire out.
