Yesterday the residents and staff at the Esperanza OAPs Residence in Calasparra all received their second Covid-19 vaccination.
Some 707 vaccinations were administered yesterday in the region and by the end of the day the total number of first vaccinations reached 42,820 and 6,058 have received the second dose.
Although confirmed cases have fallen by 20% in the last few days in the region, Calasparra remains at “extreme risk” level and hospitals remain under severe pressure.
Please remember if you are going out or shopping, people who are not from the same household are limited to two in the same place at the same time, whether this is on the street or in an enclosed area, such as a shop.
There are currently 85 active cases of the virus in Calasparra, one new diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
