Local residents have made 60 calls to the new Municipal Whatsapp to complain, lodge queries and make suggestions during the first two weeks of the service, according to the Town Hall.
The majority of messages were in relation to street lighting and holes in the road and the Town Hall “ has acted on the complaints as soon as possible, according to councillor, Jordi Ace.
Residents have also used the service for administrative matters and for the opening hours of public services.
But the main concern of most messagers has been building works and the asphalting of Tejera and Francisco Chicheri streets. There will be meetings between the Town Hall and the residents to discuss both matters soon.
Jordi Arce says he is satisfied that the new service is being used and that it is bringing the local administration closer to residents.
The instant messaging service is available over 24 hours, 365 days a week on 670 25 72 54.
