The programme of religious events organized by the Sanctuary Foundation as part of the September fiestas has been published this week.
On Sunday August 26 at 12midday Angelines Cristóbal Ribera will make the opening speech for the fiestas which will be followed by a mass featuring the Rociero Choir, Amanacer, of Calasparra.
At 2pm the winner of the poster competition will be awarded a prize.
September 4, 5 and 6 mass at the Merced church at 8pm with Julián Martín Torrecilla.
On Friday September 7 the traditional Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary. Events will include:
8pm Mass with D. Fernando Gutiérrez Reche from Cartagena accompanied by the choir, La Edad de Oro, from Alhama.
At the end of the mass there will be a torchlight parade with the statue of Our Lady Of Hope.
11pm Pilgrims Mass.
Various events will be held in the Sanctuary Square after the mass.
Saturday September 8
Concert with the Association Band of Music in the main Sanctuary square at 11am.
1pm Mass with local choir.
A bus will leave from Bar Pepon at 10am for people who want to attend these events and will return to Calasparra after the mass.
