The relics of the patron saints of Calasparra, St. Abdón and Senen, have been returned to Calasparra after 200 years and will be the stars the traditional fiestas to be held from July 26 to 30.
The Bishop of Cartegena has been invited to lead the procession from the Merced Church with the relics to their final resting place in the Saints Church at 8pm on July 29. The following morning the relics will be on public display in the Saints Church.
On July 26 the annual Cuevarrozk this year will feature local and regional music groups and the Night of the Migas will be held on July 28.
Following the great success of the Peñas Talent Competition last year the event will be repeated in the Placeta de los Santos in place of the traditional “Verbena.”
