The Municipal Canoe Club has published a diary of events for this month which includes the regional trials and the Slalom Cup of Murcia to be held on the River Segura here in Calasparra.
Wednesday August 28 at 7pm
Exhibition of kayak surf and free style on the river Segura (the grey pass on the lower Sanctuary road driving towards the Sanctuary).
Thursday August 29 at 8pm
Kayak polo in the municipal swimming pool for the juniors and followed by Competition Teams.
Friday August 30 at 8pm
Manoevres with a canoe in the municipal swimming pool for the little ones and for the seniors.
Saturday August 31 from 9.30am
X Murcian Slalom Cup with clubs from Écija (Sevilla) and Cuenca in the River Segura. The senior categories will be mid morning.
!0.30pm Homage to local champion canoeist, Juan Martínez Rodríguez in CINCO SENTIDOS.
Sunday September 1 at 10am
A DAY OF CANOEING
The most important day on the calendar for Canoe Club: the OPEN MURCIANO.
Open to everyone and includes a desce t of the river for 10€, a t-shirt and an “arroz” for the participants.
Enjoy these events and support these courageous Calasparrians who brave the white water all year around to practice for regional and national events.
