The region of Murcia has 30% less cases of Covid-19 than the national average and has announced a slight relaxation of precautionary measures over the festive period.
The closure of the regional perimeter will stay in place until January 6 and only “close family members” may enter the region to spend Christmas with their families. No visitors will be permitted to travel.
However, the limit on family gatherings on December 24, 25 and 31 and January 1 has been raised to 10. This number may include three family nucleases maximum. The limit of six persons is maintained outside these dates. These limits apply to private parties and parties in bars and restaurants.
Bars and restaurants will have to close between 6 and 9pm on Christmas Eve and New Year´s Eve to avoid crowds.
The curfew will remain in place from 11pm to 6 am but will be extended to 1.30am to 6am on Christmas Eve and New Year´s Eve.
There is no restriction on travel between municipal boundaries, however, Los Alcazares remains in confinement.
There will be meeting of the Covid Tracking Committee on December 28 to consider restrictions for the Three Magic Kings on January 5 and 6.
