The alarm bells are ringing in the Murcia region as less tests are carried out but confirmed cases increase by 240 in 24 hours.
Initially the statistics in the region showed little effect from the Fiestas of the Constitution in late November and precautionary measures were relaxed.
However, the accumulated percentage of cases per population has increased to 99.9 per 100,000 habitants in the last seven days, whereas in the last 14 days this has risen to 181.1. This represents an increase of nine percent in confirmed cases in the last week.
Sadly six people have died in the region in the past 24 hours and 11 have been admitted to hospital. There are currently 73 patients with the virus in intensive care.

The day before yesterday in Calasparra there were three new cases of Covid-19 diagnosed bringing the total number of active cases to nine. There have been no new cases in the last 24 hours.
