The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha Gonsalez Laya, has told the BBC today that Spain may impose reciprocal quarantine measures on UK tourists when it reopens its borders to Schengen countries on June 21.
She said: “We must wait and see what the UK does and we continue our talks to see whether we need to introduce reciprocal measures or not, given that the UK has different measures in place to the rest of Europe.”
Editor’s Note:
We will keep readers updated but as of this moment the Spanish authorities have not confirmed any quarantine requirements for UK tourists when borders open on June 21.
However, this may change.
