RAIN DIDN´T STOP PLAY LOS LOMAS RELAUNCH

This is the new Los Lomas: a new opening, a new beginning. An up and coming rock and roll band, a new surround barbecue in the kitchen and a new pair of hands at the helm. The future looks good for Los Lomas.
Popular local businessman, Chris Fox, has joined Melanie and they aim to make the restaurant a resounding success with both the British and Spanish communities.
The Los Lomas restaurant has one of the best locations in the region of Murcia nestling in the flanks of the mountains that surround the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope. The patio area has been repaved to make a perfect venue for visiting bands and musicians and there´s plenty of space for outdoor bopping.
The band of the moment, Magnetic Surf, were a massive bonus for the relaunch, with classics from the 50´s and 60´s enticing the guests onto the dance floor. Even though their singer had been taken ill in Elche the previous night, with kidney stones, the band called in favours with singer/guitar friends from was far afield as Caravaca and Bolivia.
Even half an hours rain half way through their set did not dampen the spirits of the musicians or of the dancers although a few far sighted Brits had brought their unbrellas.
Chris Fox manned the barbecue all night and a regiment of waiters kept the orders flowing.
New management promise new opening hours to accommodate the Spanish speakers, biligual menus and publicity in Nexonr and leafleting Calasparra in Spanish.
If Sunday night was a sign of things to come Los Lomas has put itself securely back on the gastromic map.
