The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, and the President of the Canales de Taibilla Water Board, Francisca Baraza, have presented a 4.6 million euro project to improve the transport of drinking water to Calasparra and guarantee supply.
The project, which also aims to reduce leakages, will be carried out in three phases and will take 18 months.
The first phase, to renew the final part of the system which transports water to Calasparra and Moratalla, will begin in April. It will cost 2,296,914.34 euros. It includes renewing piping and installing a new water deposit.
