A heads up for dog walkers!! The processionary caterpillar, so dangerous for our pets, is already dropping and moving on the ground on the Sierra del Puerto.
There is a veritable plague of processionary nests in the pìne trees on the Sierra del Puerto and some of the caterpillars are already dropping.
Recently the region sprayed the Sierra del Molino to control the plague but, it seems, did not include the Sierra del Puerto in the campaign of control.
Please keep your pet on a leash near pine trees and if there is contact between your pet and the caterpillar go to the vets immediately. It can prove fatal to dogs!!
