The Department of Culture, with the support of the Reading Club of Calasparra, has organised an Infant Reading Club for4 children in the second and third year of primary school.
The aim, according to Teresa García, is to promote and spread the habit of reading amongst the youngest children.
The Club will meet weekly and has voluntary staff.
It is the first step towards the creation of Cultural Volunteers for the development of different cultural ac tivities, said the local Head of Culture.
Inscription in the Club is free. Sign on at the Public Library. Places are limited.
