The comparative cool of the last few days is likely to end abruptly on Friday as the Met Office warns of temperatures in the low 40´s.
The prediction is for minimums of 23C and maximums of 40C on Friday; minimums of 22C on Saturday and maximums of 40C; and on Sunday a sight drop to 20C minimums and 39C maximums in Calasparra. Other areas of Murcia may see variations of several degrees upwards.
If its any consolation next week is predicted to be cooler with possibilities of thunder storms and rain!
Once again we are reminding our readers to take care in the high temperatures. Working or any other physical activity in the heat of the day is not advised and the heat of the day here in Calasparra is between 12midday and 7pm.
If you do have to go out wear suitable light clothing and protect yourselves from the sun with a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen etc.
Try to stay in the shade as much as possible and keep the house cool so you have refuge from the heat.
Avoid alcohol and heavy meals.
