The local elections are on the horizon and all the parties are keen to capture the vote of residents on the two urbanizations here in Calasparra.
Nexonr is expecting to receive manifestos from all the parties which will be translated and published on this webpage for the information of our readers. This year there are more than five parties presenting candidates in the local municipal elections in May.
The first political meeting is being held by the coalition, Ganar Calasparra, in the restaurant, Andalus, next Saturday at 11 am, principally for residents of the Tierra del Sol and Cañada Verde, although any English speaking residents will be welcome.
The candidate of the United Left, Ricardo Garcia, will represent the Ganar Coalition this May and he is keen to hear your ideas and suggestions for the coalition´s manifesto.
He told Nexonr: “Our intentions are to meet with the residents of this area of Calasparra and exchange opinions about the current situation on the urbanizations and collect suggestions on how things can be improved.
“For Ganar, which includes the United Left and Green parties, it is important to listen to all sectors of the community in order to present a manifesto which represents the interests of all the residents of Calasparra,” he says.
There will be ample time for questions and answers. An English/Spanish interpreter will be provided.
