The Local Police and the Guardia Civil have dismantled an indoor marijuana plantation of 400 plants in central Calasparra in a joint operation to control the illegal culivation of the drug.
Officers discovered the illegal indoor greenhouse installed in a house in the town centre where they found the 400 plants and arrested two people. A third person is under investigation.
During a search of the premises numerous sets of lighting equipment, ventilation, watering and heating equipment used to maintain the plantation were discovered as well as an illegal connection to the electricity supply.
The investigation remains open and the police do not discount further operations in the fight against the illegal cultivation of marijuana in Calasparra.
