The traditional and ever popular pilgrimage to the top of San Miguel will take place on Sunday September 25.
The walk starts from the Plaza de la Corredera at 9am and is graded medium to easy.
Many of the townsfolk of Calasparra, young and not so young, take part in this annual event. If you don´t want to walk with the crowd just take the path at the side of the Chapel of Rest and follow it around to the top.
There will be refreshments served at the summit.
San Miguel offers a unique 360 degree view of Calasparra and its surroundings. The walk is reasonably easy but is steep in places. Good walking shoes and water are recommended.
