After three weeks of lower prices at the pumps the knock on effect of the conflict in Siria and the international tension over alleged chemical weapon attacks is a hike in fuel prices.
According to the EU Petrol Bulletin a litre of petrol has risen by .55% and deisel by 0.74%. A litre of lead free petrol this week costs an average of 1.456 euros and diesel 1.37 euros.
However, fuel prices are still lower than this time last year when the cost of filling up an average tank of 55 litres cost 80 euros compared to a current 75.3 euros.
