Spain has the lower than average prices at the pumps than the rest of the EU and those prices fell again this week by more than two percent.
Although the current cost of a litre of petrol is 2.4% less than last week and of diesel is 2.3% less prices are still 2% higher than last January. However, they have fallen by 5% over the last month.
Today a litre of petrol should cost 1.428 euros and diesel at 1,342 euros.
The price of a barrel of petrol on the international market has dropped, a trend that is likely to continue, and the knock on effect for motorists is cheaper fuel.
