The Pedreras Primary School has been granted more hours of special needs support following the protest, organised by AMPA, at the school gates on Thursday.
AMPA, the parents´association informs that immediately after the protest they were contacted by the Centre for Attention and Diversity and promised more hours of special needs teaching at the school as a temporary measure.
As a result of the measure AMPA has called off the protests planned for next week.
The Association was protesting because there are eight children with special needs at the school, ranging from Downes to autism, and inadequate resources to support them.
