The statues of the patron saints of Calasparra, St Senén and St Abdón, will return to Calasparra this week following restoration work.
A series of events has been organized to mark the return on Sunday April 22 including a procession from the Merced Church to the Saints Church at 11am followed by a mass at the Saints Church at midday.
The statues have been undergoing restoration work in Hellín since December. According to Pablo Neito speaking on Radio Calasparra the statues have “recuperated their original aspect dating back to the 1940´s.
