Spend the day at your easel in the privileged area of Los Lomas overlooking the rice fields and then present your painting in order to have a chance at a cash prize.
The Open Air Rapid Painting Competition (The VI Certamen de pintura rapida al aire libre “Villa de Calasparra) will begin at 9am in the Los Lomas area.
The theme will be the “Rice Fields of Calasparra” and amateurs and professionals are all welcome to take part.
The organisation will provide easels and choose selected areas for the participants. A plan will indicate your allocated area.
The painting must be completed on site during the day and finished works may be presented in the evening in the Aula de la Naturaleza at Los Lomas where they will be exhibited in the order they were received.
Inscription will be on the same day as the competition and prizes will be 400 euros for the winner; 250 euros for second place; and 300 euros special prize for a local artist.
