Under the new system for counting new cases of Covid-19 (only positive cases among the most vulnerable sections of the population), there has been a 22.5% fall over the last week.
There were 72 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours, in vulnerable groups such as the over 60´s, pregnant women and the immune depressed.
Active cases of the virus in the region total 1,639.
There are 84 in patients with Covid and of these 13 are in intensive care.
Sadly, a 91 year old woman has died of the virus.
